That goes for Reproductive Freedom as well. Health care must be kept at an affordable level where enrollment is up and families and individuals are adequately protected. We know that preventative care is the best way to decrease health care costs in the long run.

• I pledge to champion the MICare Act to reform health care, provide universal access, eliminate deductibles, co-pays and premiums, funded through state appropriations and federal funding. This act will establish a state board to oversee benefits.​​

• I will work to insure fair compensation for our health care workers with a system that supports patients and medical professionals alike.  

• Health care should not be a choice over any other necessity. Michiganders cannot be worried about breaking the bank after every doctor’s visit or procedure.
